Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when do you hold the open mic nights?  Are they accessible?

Testify is held on the first tuesday of every month at Hanky Panky Pancakes.  Directions and accessibility information can be found here.  If you have any further access needs please in touch via the contact page.

How much is it?

As of February 2020, the entry fee for Testify is £3.

Where does my money go?

Testify Poetry is a registered community interest company.  That means that all profits must be reinvested in the community, not go to shareholders.  The money you contribute goes towards paying headliners, equipment, admin and all the other costs that come with running a successful night!

How do I sign up for an open mic slot?

We do not sign up open mic in advance, just come down on the night and put your name on the list!  We restrict the amount of open mic slots and they are given on a first come, first serve basis.  The open mic sign up will open at 7pm at each Testify.

I'm a performer, how can I headline Testify?

We are not currently taking any more headline slots.  But if you would like to register future interest then get in touch via our contact page.

Are there rules about what I can perform?

You can read about our performance guidelines here.
