The Saboteur Awards 2019 are Open!

Yes it's that time of year again, time to vote for your favourites in the literary world.

For the first time Testify is eligible for 'best spoken word regular night'. Like what we're doing? Enjoy the night? Then we would LOVE a nomination.

You can find the nomination form here: Saboteur Award Nomination Form

You need to vote in AT LEAST 3 categories so here are our faves of the rest

Best Spoken Word Performer

We've been blessed at Testify to welcome some truly gifted poets and spoken word performers. All of them are deserving of a nomination. Can't remember the name of your fave? All our previous headliners can be found here.

Best Magazine

So many to choose from. Favourites like Mslexia, who celebrated their 20th birthday this month. Or Riggwelter Press run by previous Testify headliner, Amy Kinsman. We're also big fans of newcomer FourHubs Magazine, whose editor in chief Theresa Lola is a phenomenal poet in her own right, and Cabinet of Heed which has published short poems and fiction from some big names in the literary world.

Best Literary Festival

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll have seen how Verve Poetry Festival has taken the poetry world by storm. Want to keep it more local? Chester Literature Festival has brought some amazing names to Chester and was where the idea of Testify was born. Worth a nomination for that alone...

Best Spoken Word Regular Night

Well, us. Obviously. Special mentions also go to our faves That's What She Said, Voicebox and Sale Write Out Loud.

Best Spoken Word Show

Back in November, Matt Abbott brought his show Two Little Ducks to Chester. A truly awesome show, well worth a nomination.

So those are our faves! Who are yours?

Please vote (even if not for us) and support your literary community!
