The Testify April Newsletter

Hello again!

April has been a busy one so far and with less than 3 weeks until the next Testify I thought I'd check in with you all. First things first - next Testify will be on 7th May, headlined by the one and only - David Subacchi!

We can't wait to hear some of the work from his latest collection - Where is Wales?  Want more info on David?  You can find it here: http://tinyurl.com/yy692qbq

The Facebook event is here: http://tinyurl.com/y57rolvu

I've also been getting all the promo ready for June (I know!) so if you want a sneak peek at June's headliner - head to the events page on our website: https://www.testifypoetry.co.uk/upcoming-events

I was freakin' delighted to learn we've been given a special mention in this year's Saboteur Awards category for Best Regular Spoken Word Night!  Thank you to everyone that voted.

Things I've been enjoying this month

I've been watching the latest of Double-Barrelled's location series set in Chester.  The video is amazing and really shows how you can take your work to the next level!  Find it here: http://tinyurl.com/y2fa7fez

I've been reminiscing about my time at the For Book's Sake writing retreat.  They've now released more dates and if you sign up before the end of April, you get £50 off!  You can book here: http://tinyurl.com/yxo64jtv

The Storyhouse Women weekend here in Chester is rapidly approaching and for the first time they have a Poet-in-Residence - Lianne Futia!  Get your tickets and have a nosey at the packed programme here: https://www.storyhouse.com/storyhouse-women

I had to chance to go to this months Write Out Loud Sale and saw Joe Williams and past headliner Maz Hedgehog in action!  I love this night, its the first poetry night I ever went to and feels like home to me.  It's a safe and supportive space which is welcoming to both newcomers and seasoned pros. I'll be hosting next months whilst their regular host Sarah Pritchard is away so come down if you can!  Join me on Tues 21st May with headliners Amy Kinsman and Kate Garratt
